First Openly Gay Man To Serve On Federal Bench

Hurray for Paul Olken, who was just appointed as a U.S. district judge for the Southern District of New York. This is a first for the seats on the Federal Bench in the country, and what's even better is that the Senate voted 80-13 in favor of the appointment. Perhaps we are seeing the system becoming more accepting and open?
